CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

The Construction Superintendent is a hands-on leader who coordinates activities and supervises all trades and field personnel. They communicate directly with the client and the Newcomb Project Manager. Administering construction safety practices for all on-site activities is critical while maintaining the highest quality standards. The Construction Superintendent also maintains the jobsite office and closes out the project.

A successful Construction Superintendent candidate will have the following prerequisite skills and qualifications:

·  Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining effective working relationships.

·  Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

·  Attention to details with a sense of urgency to complete tasks.

·  Accountability - Effectively lead construction team members to reasonable expectations; do what you say you’re going to do and inspect what is expected.

·  Problem solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to facilitate on-site solutions.

Five years of commercial construction field experience in a lead position is preferred. A two- or four-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related technical certificate is desired, but not essential. OSHA 10 safety standards knowledge and credential. Candidates should also be computer literate with basic use knowledge, and able to perform physical work on site (lift 50 pounds).
